Fae Teeth began with a love for secondhand clothing and finding creative ways to make my own wardrobe feel like me. Learning to repair and rework garments turned into my favourite hobby, and eventually became this little brand.
Giving existing clothing a new chapter is still at the heart of what I do. Alongside my handmade creations, I rework pieces into one of a kind garments full of personality and whimsy. There’s so much creative possibility in what’s already here.
Made to order pieces
My made to order pieces are created after you place your order, this helps me avoid making excess finished garments. All blank garments used are ethically made and are made from good quality fabrics with a majority of these pieces being made from 100% cotton.
My DTG printed t-shirts are printed with water based, non toxic inks and are produced out of house with an ethical supplier.
Reworked pieces
My reworked pieces transform secondhand garments through the addition of patchwork appliqués, original hand painted artwork, a selection of my hand made patches and various embellishments. By working with what’s already here, we give overlooked clothing another chapter and create something wonderfully one of a kind.
My patchwork appliqués are mostly made from secondhand fabric that I source from various charity shops. Alongside this my hand made patches are either made using discarded fabric scraps that I have kept from previous projects or are made from 100% recycled cotton! A majority of the embellishments I use have also been sourced secondhand!
Handmade patches
My patches can help refresh well loved clothing or become part of a creative repair, giving you more reasons to keep wearing what you own. Depending on the design, I use discarded fabric scraps or recycled cotton, with material details included in each listing.
Wall hangings
My patchwork wall hangings are made from secondhand fabric and embellishments I have sourced from various charity shops, complete with a soft felt backing and brand label.
Prints
All of my art prints are printed on recycled art card and are sent in a biodegradable cellophane bag with grey board backing.
Packaging
All orders are sent in either a strong kraft paper mailing bag or a cardboard do not bend envelope. Wrapped in tissue paper, with a thank you note made from recycled card and a sticker.
Love it, wear it, care for it
Looking after the clothes we own is part of giving them a longer life. I include care instructions with every order to help you look after your piece, so please check these before washing and give your garment the care it needs.
A work in progress
I’m not here to claim that Fae Teeth is perfect. Reworking clothing is one part of my approach, not a promise that everything I make has no impact. My aim is to keep building a brand rooted in creativity, individuality and thoughtful use of existing clothing.
